Local Student Dances into a Panhandle Tradition
Sixth grader Ainsely Schultz has been dancing ballet since first grade at the Star Ballet in Hereford, Texas. Over the last six years, she has danced a total of thirteen performances.
This year, Schultz danced in the Lone Star Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. She completed a total of eight performances and countless hours of practice. She danced as a soldier and a balloon girl during the weekend performances.
“My favorite show that I’ve done was The Nutcracker because it was an amazing experience,” Schultz said. “I loved meeting new people and being taught by new people. It was fun to dance on the stage with a full orchestra.”
