REGIONAL UIL RESULTS

Many Nazareth High School students competed in the Regional UIL Academic meet last Friday, April 7, at

South Plains College in Levelland.

Nineteen Nazareth students qualified for the State UIL competition in Austin. Six of those students qualified in two events.

The state competition for the journalism events and other written tests will take place April 21-23. The speaking events will be held May 21-23.

The top 3 individuals and the top team in each event qualify for state. Students who placed at the meet are listed below by event. Congratulations to these students and good luck at state!

The Nazareth Livestock judging team won 2nd in district, 6th in area and 8th at Texas Tech invitational contest. The team qualified for state at the end of April.  Team members include Molly Johnson, Bryson High, Chandler Schulte, Faithe Huseman, and Emily Heitschmidt.

The Nazareth Horse judging team won district, placed 3rd at area and 5th in the TTU area invitational contest. The team will go to state in two weeks. Team members include Hunter Corrales, 5th high individual, Alee Christian, Hattie Robb, Shelby Espenson, Kiko Rodriguez, and Teri Burnett.

The Nazareth Vet Tech team won both district and area and qualified for the state competition. Kristi McAlister won 1st overall. Other team members include Maddie Smith, Hydie Dyer, Alee Christian, and Faithe Huseman.
